TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said that the visit paid by President Hassan Rouhani to France indicates “power of diplomacy”.

The president’s visit to France opens new chapter in economic, political and cultural cooperation, the chief diplomat tweeted on Friday.

Rouhani paid a five day visit to France and Italy. He arrived in Tehran on Friday.

During the trip, the Iranian and French officials signed 20 memorandums of understandings. 14 memorandums of understandings were also signed between Iran and Italy.
